Coach Jamie Roberts has been selected to lead the newly established Lady Jets softball program in 2013-14. Roberts comes to Northern Oklahoma College by way of Purcell High School.

In her seven years as head softball coach of both fast-pitch and slow-pitch programs for Purcell High School, Roberts’ teams won nine District Championships, seven Regional Championships, and made ten consecutive state tournament appearances. Claiming a 5A State Championship in 2011 and Runner-up finishes in 2009 and 2010, Roberts has built a reputation of leading well-respected, competitive, and successful teams. Roberts has an overall coaching record of 355-117 (.752).  Prior to Purcell High School, Roberts was the head coach at Putnam City West High School for one season.

Roberts was a three-time NAIA All-American, NAIA Scholar-Athlete, and NFCA Academic All-American while a student-athlete at St. Gregory’s University. A Del City native, Roberts graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Gregory’s University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Health and Sports Science. Roberts completed her Master's degree in Education with emphasis in Sports Administration from East Central University in July 2012.

Roberts is excited about the prospect of heading the first ever NOC Enid softball program and looks forward to adding to the school’s athletic accomplishments.  Roberts said in closing, “Softball is a passion that has been placed in my heart, and I feel so blessed to be able to advance my passion and experiences to the next level. I am truly excited of the opportunity to join the NOC family, and I would like to thank all those who have contributed to making this dream of mine a reality”
