The contest will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. The priority deadline to enter is Friday, March 13, 2020, but late entries will be accepted until Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
Exam Content Areas
Exams consist of traditional high school subject matter areas as indicated on the Exam Descriptions document. Students in grades 7 through 12 are offered the opportunity to participate. Students are permitted to compete in two areas of examination.
Contest Day Check-in
School representatives should check-in at the table located across from the Northern Oklahoma College Bookstore in the Memorial Student Union. Check-in will begin at 11:00 am and close at noon. If substitutions for exams are necessary, they can be identified at check-in.
Sponsors and students may relax between contests in the Memorial Student Union. A snack bar is available for students to purchase food or drinks. Meal cards will be distributed that allow sponsors to eat in the cafeteria or the snack bar. Meal cards are not provided to students.
Exam Format / Process / Requirements
> Exams will be 50 minutes long and in multiple-choice format unless otherwise indicated in the exam description.
> Contests will be written, administered, graded and judged by the Northern Oklahoma College faculty. If a student should not finish an exam, they will still be graded on the completed portion submitted.
> Students will need a #2 pencil and all math exams will require a calculator. Extra pencils will be available, but calculators will not be provided. Phones are not allowed and should be silenced during exams.
> Students will report to the exam site on contest day - locations are indicated on the Test Times and Locations document.
> Students must complete the scantron provided by the exam administrator, including their names and school name written legibly. Failure to provide the correct information or illegible writing can result in loss of medals, scholarships, or certificates of merit.
All contests will run with a minimum of three students entered. If no students are entered, the contest will not be held.
