DMI Open House and Epic Shorts Film Festival
Brad Matson, Digital Media Institute director, said, “I would like to cordially invite you to the Digital Media Institute open house 2011. The Open House will be held on Friday, April 29th from 10 am to 3 pm, in Wilkin Hall room 110 on the Tonkawa campus of Northern Oklahoma College.
“We will also be hosting our 4th Annual Epic Shorts Student Film Festival at 4pm in the Wilkin Auditorium following the Open House.
“The purpose of these events is to network within the artistic and scholastic community. This is a great opportunity to expand the awareness to potential employers as well as introducing your company to a talent pool of educated, creative, driven artists.
“DMI’s thirteen (13) graduating students will be conducting several mini-seminars throughout the day demonstrating skills in Maya, After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and many more. So stop by, take a tour, watch some demos, talk to the students, and enjoy our traditional root beer floats!
“The two-year program focuses on artistic techniques of today’s technology. DMI students learn to transform their ideas and concepts into numerous facets of digital media including 3D modeling, texturing, animation and rendering in Autodesk’s award winning Maya; motion graphics for broadcast and film with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects; nonlinear digital video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and Soundbooth; designing and creating web sites for showcasing student talents using Adobe’s Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash; and authoring DVD’s for student demo reels with Adobe’s Encore.
“I am looking forward to seeing you in April.â€
All proceeds will benefit JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). If you have any questions contact Matson at 580.628.6458 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
