Kappa Beta Delta Honor Society

 

 

Kappa Beta Delta is an international honor society for ACBSP-
accredited business programs, and Northern Oklahoma College was
the first two-year institution in the State of Oklahoma with ACBSP
accreditation.

The purpose of the Society is to encourage and recognize
scholarship and accomplishment among students of business,
management, and administration pursuing associate degrees.
We encourage and promote personal and professional improvement
and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.

Kappa is the initial letter of the word, Kratisteuo, which means to excel. Kappa Beta Delta members have proven their excellence through their studies and other personal traits. The excellent person realizes that excellence is not a quality to be occasionally employed, but is an attribute reflecting a lifetime of action.


B

Beta is the initial letter of the word, Bebaous, which means trustworthy. Kappa Beta Delta members strive to be trustworthy for they realize that their word and reputation are priceless treasures not to be lost through unwise actions or statements.

Delta is the initial letter of the word, Dokimos, which means genuine and esteemed. Kappa Beta Delta members are genuine and are to be held in high esteem for both their accomplishments as well as their trustworthiness.



 

Membership

    To be a member of KBD, you must be a business major with 15

    semester hours of credit completed, six credit hours in business

    courses.  Your academic ranking must be in the upper 20 percent of

    the class, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
