NOC Athlete NJCAA Baseball National Player of the Week

Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa athlete Josh Evans has been named the NJCAA Division II Baseball Player of the Week.

The NJCAA made the announcement March 3 for all games played Feb. 22-28.
For the week, Evans posted a .591 batting average, hitting 4 home runs and 1 double. He scored 11 runs, had 13 RBI’s and had 1 base on balls.
“Josh had another monster week at the plate, helping us to a 4-1 record on the week and a 13-5 overall record,” said Mavericks head baseball coach Ryan Bay. “He has changed several games for us with 1 swing.Josh currently ranks first in the nation in RBIs (31) and second nationally in doubles (10) and home runs (7).”
Evans, a graduate of Ponca City High School, plays first base for the NOC Mavericks. The Northern sophomore recently signed with Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
