NOC hires Livestock Judging coach

Northern Oklahoma College has hired Jennifer Bedwell to lead the Livestock Judging Program at NOC Tonkawa.

Bedwell, originally from Fairview, has deep roots in the livestock industry, raising and showing cattle with her family across the country. During her undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University, Jennifer received degrees in both animal science and agricultural communications.

Most recently at OSU, she is set to graduate as a master of science in agricultural communications.

While at OSU, Jennifer was a member of the successful 2017 National Champion Livestock Judging Team that won all species and reasons, and she was named the High Individual in Cattle. She was also the assistant coach for the 2019 National Champion Livestock Judging Team.

“I am really looking forward to being a part of the already competitive judging program at NOC,” Bedwell said. “I’m excited to continue my coaching career and work with some of the best young livestock enthusiasts the industry has to offer.”

The NOC Livestock Judging Team recently finished 2nd in the nation under previous coach Tim Hubbard.

“Northern Oklahoma College is excited to have such an enthusiastic and experienced addition to our faculty and look forward to the Livestock Judging Team’s continued success,” said Tricia Moore, NOC Agricultural and Biological Science Division Chair.
