Dexter Axle Company of El Reno, OK is a supplier and manufacturer of axles, doors, venting products and related components in the utility trailer, boat trailer, RV, heavy duty and manufactured housing markets.  Dexter has an opportunity for an IT Summer Intern.  Candidates must have a high school diploma and be working on a two- or four-year degree in MIS, Computer Information Systems or comparable discipline.  Pay for Sophomores starts at $17.50/hr.  More information can be found here

The City of Stillwater Office of Marketing and Public Relations is currently seeking a Communications Intern (with emphasis on social media). Must be able to work 18 to 20 hours per week between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday-Friday with occasional evenings and weekends hours. The pay is $10 per hour. A-1 Savannahs--A-1 Savannahs breeds a cross between African Serval wild cats and domestic cats. The company is looking for interns to assist with feeding, cleaning, bathing, and dispensing medication. Interns will also work with socialization skills and assist with a Cornell University research study regarding health issues. Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (OMRF)--The OMRF is accepting applications for an eight-week summer internship.  The interns live in housing at UCO and have breakfast provided. The interns need to have transportation to work and money to fund their other meals. The pay is an hourly rate based on the intern's relevant educational level. American Red Cross--The Red Cross needs interns/volunteers to join the fiscal review team.  Training is available online and it is free.  Students work online running reports and auditing cases where the Red Cross has provided assistance to make sure proper documentation is attached (fire marshal report, etc.).  As part of the fraud detection team, the intern will read through the case, identify proper documentation, and decide whether the case is complete or incomplete.  Contact Crys Davis at 405-744-4270 for more information or register as a Red Cross volunteer at the website listed below.

South Central Climate Science Center

A summer undergraduate internship opportunity in 2016 for students of underrepresented minorities interested in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields (for example, agricultural science, economics, environmental engineering). Interns will be involved in hands-on activities related to climate research that will allow them to see the direct impacts of climate variability and change on the West Texas Southern High Plains, prairie and forest ecosystems and tribal cultures in Oklahoma, and the bayous, delta and coastline of Louisiana.
