The Associate in Science degree in Business Administration consists of 60 credit hours designed to provide the student with the first two years of general requirements for transfer to a four-year institution. The degree sheet provides a suggested curriculum. Alternate courses and electives should be selected carefully only after the student and the major faculty academic advisor have consulted the catalog of the selected transfer college.
The Business Division and this degree program are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
In addition to the general education requirements, Business Administration students focus on Accounting, Introduction to Business, Business Tech, Macroeconomics, Statistics, and recommended business electives of calculus, speech, or internship.
Kappa Beta Delta--Outstanding business students are invited to join the business honor society recognized by ACBSP.
Students considering a degree in business should enjoy providing good customer service. Good time management and organizational skills are a must. Many business careers require students to be tech savvy and have good interpersonal skills.
