Northern Oklahoma College regents received updates on fall enrollment, campus projects, the college’s 125th anniversary celebration and other activities during their Sept. 16 meeting in Enid.
Regents also approved a new fee schedule for open records requests. Vice President for Development and Community Relations Sheri Snyder said the change was prompted by an increase in requests and the additional employee time required to fulfill them.
Vice President for Enrollment Management Dr. Rick Edgington reported that fall enrollment is slightly below fall 2025 levels. He also reported that NOC has 548 concurrent students representing 40 entities.
Jeremy Hise, vice president for NOC Enid, reported that work is underway on the Athletic Training Education Center. Fundraising also continues for the Failing Field Renovation Project, with NOC seeking to raise $375,000 that will be matched by a donor to complete the project.
Snyder reminded regents of NOC’s 125th anniversary celebration Oct. 3, which will include a silent auction and purse raffle, art exhibition and concert. She also reported that an NOC Scholarship Task Force has been created to explore ways to better utilize scholarship funds.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Ashley Moore said the semester is off to a good start as she settles into her new position. Moore said she is continuing to learn more about NOC faculty and academic programs while identifying opportunities for future improvement.
Dr. Marsh Howard, vice president for NOC Stillwater, reported increased participation in Get Going with Gateway compared to 2025. Howard said the student orientation program helps students transition into the fall semester at NOC Stillwater.
Vice President for Student Affairs Jason Johnson reported that students are settling into the fall semester. He credited Dean of Students Ryan Paul at NOC Tonkawa and Dean of Students Renna Bowers at NOC Enid for their work hiring and training new student affairs personnel.
President Diana Morris introduced NOC Enid President’s Leadership Council students, who shared information about themselves and why they chose NOC.
Morris also introduced Jets men’s basketball coach Chris Gerber, who led NOC Enid to the Elite Eight at the 2026 NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas, and Bowers, who oversees student affairs on the Enid campus.
Morris provided regents with updates on NOC’s Strategic Plan and preparations for the Higher Learning Commission accreditation visit scheduled for November 2027.
Regents also approved the financial report.
The next meeting will be held Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. in the President’s Large Conference Room in the NOC Tonkawa Administration Building.
