NOC Mass Comm students earn awards at OKC event
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Northern Oklahoma College Mass Communication students attended the Oklahoma Broadcast Education Association/Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters annual convention.
The convention was held April 9 at the OKANA Resort in Oklahoma City.
Attendees were Corban Burrell, Enid; Kadi Kienholz, Marland; Catie Blum, Ponca City; and Rowan Svob, Pond Creek.
Earlier this year, students submitted digital work in the OBEA student competition going up against other students from across the state and attended the awards ceremony.
Only the top three submissions are recognized in each category.
In the Public Service Announcement category, Kadi Kienholz place 2nd and Corban Burrell placed 3rd.
Northern Oklahoma College, the state’s first public two-year community college, is a multi-campus, land-grant institution that provides high quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities and services.
NOC serves nearly 3,100 students through the home campus in Tonkawa, Enid, and NOC/OSU Gateway Program in Stillwater, and the University Center in Ponca City. Of these students about 80% receive financial aid and/or scholarships. 75% of NOC students complete their degree with zero debt.
