NOC to start at 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 18

NOC Campus Community –

NOC will start late tomorrow, Thursday, February 18 at 9 a.m. in order to give students and employees extra time to commute to campus and to give physical plant employees additional time to prepare the sidewalks.

Students and employees are encouraged to use extreme caution when commuting to class/work during inclement weather. The ultimate decision as to whether or not it is safe for students and employees to travel is at their discretion.

Students who are unable to safely travel to class should contact their instructors at least one hour prior to class to request a Zoom link for attending remotely or to discuss any other arrangements that may be needed for timely completion of assignments. Individual student decision does not exempt the student from their class assignment(s) or from proper notification of an absence to their instructor(s).

Faculty should continue to record all synchronous class sections and post to Blackboard any instructions for students as to whether the class will be available via Zoom or through online instruction.

If employees feel unsafe commuting to work, they should contact their supervisor about teleworking options or to submit an administrative leave request. Individual employee decision does not exempt the employee from proper notification of an absence to the department supervisor. Please reference the NOC Employee Handbook – 3.4 Emergency Telework Policy and 3.16.14 Inclement Weather and No College Closing Policy. https://www.noc.edu/assets/uploads/sites/740/2020/11/NOC_Employee_Handbook_ADA_2020-2021_7.30.20.pdf

The NOC Board of Regents will meet at 1 p.m. on the NOC Tonkawa campus. Athletic events have been cancelled.
