NOC Process Technology and Engineering Technology Programs

Northern Oklahoma College has a number of different programs that can help students achieve their goals in working in a variety of Oklahoma Industries.

Courses taken at NOC can help individuals learn about a variety of career paths and gain skills needed by local employers. NOC works with a variety of local industries and transfer institutions, so that students can complete courses at NOC that can be used toward completing a degree in Process Technology or used towards Bachelor Degrees in Industrial Safety, and Engineering Technology fields like mechanical and electrical.

During the fall semester, NOC introduced its Introduction to Wind course and will be enrolling students in the Introduction to Wind course and an Electromechanical Principles of Wind Turbines course for students looking to learn more about careers in Wind Energy. Again, helping to prepare students to meet the needs of our local employers and prepare them for success in their chosen careers.

Due to demand for the NOC Tonkawa Process Technology (PTEC) Program, interested individuals will need to apply to the program.

The application deadline is March 15, 2021 to apply for the fall 2021 semester. Only students who fill out the on-line application will be considered for the PTEC program.

However, according to Dr. Frankie Wood-Black, Program Manager, students can be working toward credits for the program and in these other engineering technology programs, prior to being accepted.  Starting early will help students be more prepared for their PTEC classes and will help them gain valuable skills that can be applied to their current and future jobs.

Only students who fill out the application prior to March 15, 2021 will be considered for the PTEC program and space is limited. The review process begins in late March, applicants will be notified of the review process. The application may be found at http://www.noc.edu/ptechapplication.
