NOC names 2023 Distinguished Alumni

Dr. Jim Appleman, Jeff Medders and Willie Street have been chosen as the Northern Oklahoma College Distinguished Alumni for 2023.

The announcement was made by NOC Director of Alumni and Community Relations Kayla Wooderson.

Appleman, NOC Class of 1975, is the Co-Founder at Primmune Therapeutics and has published over 70 scientific articles.  He currently resides in San Diego, California.

Medders, NOC Class of 1983, is the owner of Geronimo Productions which produces more major cowboy events than any other including 10 days of the NFR in Las Vegas. He currently resides in Jenks, Oklahoma.

Street, NOC Class of 1982, is a Physician Assistant and Nursing Supervisor at Phillips 66 Health Services as well as a First Responder with the P66 Ponca City Refinery Emergency Response Team. He resides in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

The banquet is Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Renfro Center with a Roustabouts Benefit Show following the banquet in the Kinzer Performing Arts Center on the NOC Tonkawa campus.

The award recognizes the achievements of former students whose personal lives, professional achievements and community service exemplify the objectives of college.
