FT. WORTH, TEXAS — The Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is completed for 2024.

Fifteen Northern Oklahoma College students in the NOC Sheep Production and Management class made the trip to the event with 13 NOC Dorset’s and Hampshire’s.

“We had the outstanding flocks in both breeds,” said NOC Sheep Center Director Bart Cardwell.  “The Dorset’s had a very good day. The Champion Dorset Ram and Ewe and Reserve Champion Ram were part of our exhibit. Thanks to the Texas hosts for the compliments on our exhibit and the kind words about the NOC Sheep Center.”

The students participating in the event included: Kenzie Glenny, Evan Graves, Tucker Jeffries, Sage Lawrence, Dylan Leed, Tanner Mantooth, Hannah Morris, Hunter Petty, Jocelyn Phelps, Cady Pieper, Blake Pillars, Emma Polifka, Aubrie Rexwinkle, Colton Tripp, and Marli Williams.

The efforts of the Barn Crew at the NOC Sheep Center also are credited with the daily care and management of the sheep to get us ready for the shows. The Barn Crew is Jayde Perea, Sidnie Saville, Emily Stevens, Kate Leeper, Kenzie Bell and Shelby Harlan.

Cardwell also thanked Mickey Burns Club Lambs for raising the Champions from NOC 20035 and to all involved with our program at NOC.
