Day, Rapp named NOC Basketball Homecoming King, Queen

 Tyler Day and Lacy Rapp are the NOC Tonkawa Homecoming King and Queen for 2024.

Day, a sophomore from Mannford, Oklahoma, and Rapp, a freshman from Coyle, Oklahoma, were crowned Thursday night at halftime of the men’s game against Seminole.

Rapp represented the Business Club majoring in Business Administration.  She is active in Phi Theta Kappa, and is the Mavs’ Basketball Manager.

Day represented the BCM.  Day is a Social Science major and is active in the BCM, FAC, and is a member of the Mavs’ Basketball Team.

The following were the finalists for queen:

Keely Hussey represented Lady Mavs Basketball.  She is a sophomore from Okeene, Oklahoma, majoring in Elementary Education.  She is active in the BCM, Phi Theta Kappa, and FCA.

Jaci Johnson represented FCA.  Johnson, a sophomore from Tonkawa, is majoring in Pre-Med and Athletic Training.  She is a member of the Mavs Softball Team, PLC, FCA, Phi Theta Kappa, Athletic Training, and Maverick Magic.

Hayley Spaeth represented the BCM, she is a sophomore Digital Media and Design Major from Okeene, Oklahoma.  She is active in the BCM, DMI Club, and is the Lady Mavs Basketball Manager.

King candidates included Edgar Dominguez, Josiah Melton, and Brian Fredricks, Jr.

Dominguez is a sophomore from Blackwell.  Dominguez represented the NOC Roustabouts.  He is a Business major and is active in NOC Choir and Theatre.

Melton, a sophomore from Ponca City, represented Athletic Training as a king candidate.

Fredricks is a freshman from Ponca City majoring Business Administration and Business Management.  He represented the NOC Business Club.

Northern Oklahoma College, the state’s first public two-year community college, is a multi-campus, land-grant institution that provides high quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities and services.
