Career facts

This Associate in Science degree program in Agricultural Sciences is designed for seamless transfer to the Bachelor in Science degree in Agriculture Business or Agriculture Ecology at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and includes courses generally completed in the first two years of a baccalaureate degree program.

Students should consult the catalog of the college or university to which they plan to transfer and carefully select courses which will meet requirements for both associate and bachelor’s degree programs.

The agricultural sciences program prepares students interested in pre-veterinary medicine, animal production, plant production, agribusiness, food science, and education in any of these areas for transfer to four-year institutions. The foundations of scientific- and business-based agricultural practices are explored. People interested in careers in agriculture need to have experience in science, business, and communications.
