Administrative Assistant for Financial Affairs-Tonkawa-Full-Time

SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President for Financial Affairs, the Administrative Assistant performs a variety of responsible administrative and clerical duties in support of the department; provides information and assistance to the public; and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President for Financial Affairs. This position requires strong public relations skills, the capacity to work independently, and successful completion of tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Serve as a coordinating point of contact for the Vice President for Financial Affairs; schedule meetings and appointments, assist with telephone calls, preparation of letters, filing, scanning of documents, etc.
  • Assist in dissemination and compiling of confidential information and reports
  • Assists with collection of data and preparation of reports for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents, and other projects or studies as necessary
  • Assist in special projects, reports, or changes influenced by both internal and external sources
  • Serve as the primary contact to report incidents and claims to OMES Risk Management and to coordinate responses to reports and surveys to Risk Management

Assistant Baseball Coach – Tonkawa

SUMMARY:

Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa is seeking an Assistant Coach to assist with the management, supervision, and coordination of said program that competes in the NJCAA Division II – Oklahoma Collegiate Athletic Conference (OCAC). The Assistant Coach is primarily responsible for teaching, instructing and implementing skills and strategy.  Additional occasional responsibilities could include recruiting, scheduling, facility maintenance, tracking student-athlete progress, and promote NOC student-athletes to university coaches.  This is a ten-month part time position with benefits including health insurance.

Assistant Livestock Judging Coach – Tonkawa Campus

SUMMARY:

Northern Oklahoma College Division of Agriculture & Biological Sciences is seeking a Assistant Livestock Judging Coach on the Tonkawa campus. This part-time position will be a 10-month, 30 hour per week appointment that includes a benefits package. Considerable time and travel requirements can be expected in this position, with availability on some evenings and weekends.   • A thorough understanding of the livestock industry and format of livestock judging contests.
  • Prior livestock judging experience at the collegiate level.
  • Must be an effective recruiter and should be able to develop good working relationships with potential students, livestock producers, and supporters of the program.

Maintenance Technician – Tonkawa Campus

SUMMARY:

Responsible for building maintenance, preventive maintenance and light repair for the Tonkawa Campus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks submitted through the workorder system.
  • Perform all required routine preventive maintenance inspection and repairs to mechanical and HVAC systems.
  • Perform maintenance on fleet/college vehicles as assigned.  
  • Advise supervisor of needed maintenance tools, supplies and equipment and whether a repair requires a separate work order to a Maintenance Technician or the use of a licensed tradesperson. 
  • Perform daily inspections of all mechanical rooms as part of the annual preventive maintenance inspection. 
  • Advise supervisor of any concern regarding the condition or maintenance of equipment. Report any program compliance violations.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with Maintenance Manager as necessary. 
  • Responsible for required record keeping within Maintenance Direct.
  • Complete and submit all inspection forms and checklists within established timeframes. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:

To perform the role of a preventive maintenance technician successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Photographer/Videographer – Tonkawa (with Institution-wide responsibilities)

SUMMARY:

Under the immediate supervision of the Director of Printing Services with collaboration from the Vice President for Development and Community Relations, the Photographer is responsible for providing digital photographic services (still and video). The Photographer must be able to work effectively in a team environment and serve in a creative role with a variety of departments/locations to support the community relations, marketing, public information and printing departments of the college; Help to maintain and uphold the college’s brand through graphic standards guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide photography and video services including edits, tagging, renaming, and archiving digital images and videos in an easy-to-follow format for use within the institution’s marketing and promotions efforts. Typical functions include

  • Produce Event/Institutional marketing/recruitment videos and photos
  •  Provide digital media support for institutional marketing and promotions
  •  Provide institutional photography and video with all academic and co-curricular activities
  •  Scan images, photographs and photo editing
  • Plan, film, and edit videos that could be used for a variety of projects
  •  Format Photos in Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Camera Raw, and Premier Pro according to specs for a variety of platforms
  •  Knowledge of manual features of a Nikon DSLR camera and studio lighting equipment
  • Knowledge of audio recording equipment and software to meet current broadcast standards
  • Identify photographs and provide for public info, media guides, publications, etc.

Student Account Specialist – Enid

SUMMARY: 

Reporting to the Assistant Registrar/Coordinator of Student Accounts, the Student Account Specialist is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of NOC Enid student finances, including in-depth customer service to students, monitoring of account balances, collection of student accounts receivables, and processing transactions on student accounts in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with federal/state regulations and institutional policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Serve as the primary contact for the Student Accounts department and the NOC Enid VP office via incoming calls, emails and other communications from students and inquiries from other internal departments.
  • Process transactions on student accounts, to include charges and payments.
  • Participate in collection efforts for current and past due student account receivables.
  • Manage incoming calls and emails on student receivable accounts; provide guidance, resolve issues, and/or route the inquiries to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Balance cash drawer including receipts for internal departments including bookstore, Hub, and cafeteria to include in daily deposit processing and deposit to bank.
  • Distribute and maintain records of copier codes, campus keys, and credit cards to employees
  • Update and activate student meal cards on Campus Commerce

  • Process Warrant Intercept Payments on student accounts.
  • Assist with preparing and submitting purchase orders and invoices.

  • Distribute parking tags to students and employees

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills as well as expertise to accomplish the above essential duties and responsibilities are required. The Student Support Specialist must preserve confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information; use independent judgment and initiative in the planning, organization, and performance of responsible administrative work; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Creativity; team player with strong organizational, communication and mathematical skills; and proficiency of Microsoft Office applications are required. Must be able to work under pressure; meet inflexible deadlines; set priorities and maintain professionalism when dealing with individuals. Weekend and evening work may be required with a flexible 40-hour workweek schedule. Subject to satisfactory Fair Credit Reporting Act Disclosure which includes a criminal background check. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A minimum educational level of an associate degree and two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, push, lift, haul, pull, reach, carry, grasp, squat or stoop, bend and twist the body while performing essential duties, use hands to operate controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear.
